Short answer: yes, you need an account. Just like downloading from the iTunes app store, iPhones, and Android app stores all require an account, this one is no different.

But you don't have to create an account just for her (although if you do, you can set it as a child account and you get to be in control, so it's a good option). If you don't want to, you can use your account to login to the Store app (in other words, the account used for the Store app doesn't need to be the same one used to login to the PC).

I tried to download apps to my phone with my account but it wont let me how can I make a new account that will show when I try to download apps but it still shows my old username

This conversation is discussing Windows for PC's. The phone does require you to have an account before you can use the store (similar to the iPhone or Android phones).

You can login to your Windows phone using the same Microsoft Account you used here on this website. Or if you have an account you use with any other Microsoft service, that will work too (Xbox, MSN, Windows Live, Hotmail, Outlook, or any others).

On my dual boot windows 10 insider and 8.1 computer I can't get apps from the windows 10 store because it won't accept my sign in. It says there is another windows system on the same computer with the same email address. That's true but why is this a problem? The control freaks at Microsoft getting in the way of users? I can't think of a reason why, not one.

That's not normal, you can definitely fix that. One Windows installation cannot ever "read" another one. Your Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 cannot talk to each other, and it doesn't matter if you have the same account on each one.

What is truly happening is that another user account on that install of Windows (10 or 8.1, whoever is telling you that) already has that account associated with it.

But again I reiterate: it is 100% impossible for anything on one installation on your dual-boot setup, to impact your ability to download apps on the other one.

Thanks, you were absolutely right. When I checked the users in the settings on the Windows 10 account, it showed only one user, me. But when I went to the control panel users link and clicked on delete an account it showed two accounts. I must have somehow created two administrative accounts during the startup, though I have no recollection of doing that. When I deleted one of the accounts the conflict was resolved and I was able to load apps. Thanks for the prompt help.

I can't complete the family app im 23 and I don't think its necessary to complete the family app just to download games......i need help
